Melanie’s Random Thoughts (while going through pictures from recent photo sessions):
It is important to find a good friend who will stick by you, no matter what.
It is even more important to BE a good friend who will stick by someone, no matter what.
Even if your friend is furry and smells like a monkey.
You might remember this little guy from his newborn session back in February. Trevor is growing up fast!
Good to see you again, Trevor!
Coming tomorrow — a sweet baby with the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen!
The couple from yesterday’s post wanted to get some shots with their adorable dog, so we got together for a Part II of the engagement shoot!
Meet Weezy:
If you take a close look at her collar, you will notice that she is a Cardinals fan.
Such a sweet face!
As promised yesterday, here are some more pictures from Liz and Ian’s engagement session!
We had a great time taking pictures in Cottleville!
This is the flower shop where they had gotten the flowers for their prom. So sweet!
Congratulations, Liz and Ian!
Be on the lookout tomorrow morning for a sneak peek of Elizabeth and Ian’s engagement pictures!
I’ve never used HDR before …it always seemed like more of a “landscape photography” thing. And I’ve never been particularly into landscape photography (if you put people into a scene, I’ll like it a lot better!).
But it’s always good to learn new things, so here we go!
For those unfamiliar with the term, “HDR” is short for “High Dynamic Range.” In other words, cameras can’t capture all of the details our eyes can (we can see details in the bright sky and the dark shadows simultaneously, but cameras generally can’t). So you can take several pictures, each metered a bit differently, and merge them together in a program like Photomatix to get the best of all of the pictures automatically.
It’s pretty cool. I might have to do this again sometime!
Yay, colorful!
Several sessions coming up in the next week or two, so stay tuned!
